TikTok has announced a revamped creator revenue sharing program that ties payouts directly to metrics measuring content originality and audience engagement depth. The new program replaces the existing Creator Fund and will distribute a minimum of $2 billion annually to qualifying creators in the United States.

Under the new system, creators earn based on a composite score that weighs factors including watch time, comment quality, content uniqueness, and the degree to which videos drive meaningful platform interaction. The algorithm is specifically designed to reward creators who produce original content over those who aggregate or repost material from other sources.

Content creators have responded with cautious optimism, noting that previous monetization programs were criticized for low payouts and opaque algorithms. TikTok says the new program will pay top-performing creators between $5 and $15 per 1,000 qualified views, a significant increase from the previous rate structure.
